KP Brehmer was a German artist who, from the 1960s onwards, used art to critically examine capitalism, mass media and political imagery. He is associated with German Capitalist Realism and developed an analytical yet often humorous visual language in which he reused existing images, slogans, maps and statistical data from society.
Printmaking forms an important part of Brehmer’s diverse oeuvre. He experimented with a wide range of printing techniques and translated social and political information into etchings, drawings, paintings and prints.
