Ronald Edens is a Dutch sculptor and graphic designer whose work brings together influences from Pop Art, ZERO and Minimalism. In his figurative, two-dimensional work he plays with optical illusion and trompe-l’œil, with artists such as Tom Wesselmann, Roy Lichtenstein and Henri Matisse serving as important sources of inspiration.
Edens also creates abstract sculptures from reclaimed wood. Through geometric ordering, repetition and the effects of light, he produces objects that connect with the principles of Minimalism.
