Agnes Martin

Agnes Martin (Macklin, 1912 – Taos, 2004) was a celebrated American abstract painter known for her minimalist and serene works that emphasize purity, structure, and subtle color variations. Her paintings often feature delicate grid patterns and muted colors, exploring themes of tranquility and simplicity.

Martin studied at the University of New Mexico and Columbia University, developing a distinctive style influenced by Eastern philosophies and her personal experiences.
