Christo

Christo (1935, Gabrovo – 2020, New York City) was a renowned Bulgarian-born artist famous for his large-scale environmental works and installations. Collaborating often with his wife, Jeanne-Claude, Christo created monumental projects that involved wrapping buildings, bridges, and landscapes in fabric. His iconic works, such as The Gates in Central Park and Wrapped Reichstag in Berlin, transformed public spaces and invited viewers to experience familiar structures in new ways.
