Collection: Julio Le Parc

Julio Le Parc (b. 1928, Argentina) is a pioneering figure in kinetic and Op Art. A founding member of the G.R.A.V. (Visual Art Research Group), Le Parc won the Grand Prize for Painting at the 33rd Venice Biennale in 1966. Known for his socially engaged art, he was expelled from France in May 1968 for his involvement with the Atelier Populaire and its protests.

An advocate for human rights, Le Parc has actively fought against dictatorship in Latin America. His uncompromising stance is exemplified by his 1972 decision to forgo a retrospective exhibition at the Musée d’Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, a choice he made by flipping a coin.

At Kunsthandel Meijer, we showcase works by Julio Le Parc. For more information or to view his art, please contact us or visit our gallery.
