Collection: Yves Klein
Yves Klein (1928, Nice – 1962, Paris) was a French artist known for his pioneering role in Nouveau Réalisme and Conceptual Art. He is most famous for his creation of International Klein Blue (IKB), a unique ultramarine pigment that became central to his work.
Klein's art is characterized by its monochromatic simplicity and innovative use of materials. His "Anthropometries" involved using live models as human brushes to apply paint to canvases, while his "Fire Paintings" were created by burning canvases to achieve abstract effects. Klein was also a key figure in performance art, with notable works like "Leap into the Void."
At Kunsthandel Meijer, we feature a selection of Yves Klein’s work. For more information or to view his art, please contact us or visit our gallery.
