Joseph Kosuth (b. 1945, Toledo, Ohio) is a key figure in Conceptual art, known for his exploration of language and meaning. Kosuth studied at the Toledo Museum School of Design and the Cleveland Institute of Art before moving to New York in 1965, where he began creating conceptual works.
