Robert Morris

Robert Morris (Kansas City, Missouri, 1931 – New York, 2018) was a significant and versatile artist and art critic. In the 1960s, he moved away from traditional media, working with ephemeral materials like mirrors, textiles, waste, steam, and earth. Morris focused on performance art, installations, and Land Art. He is regarded as one of the key theorists of Minimalism and made substantial contributions to the Land Art movement that emerged in the United States during the 1960s and 1970s.
